Le jockey Burke et l’entraîneur Merven sanctionnés



A l’issue des enquêtes des Commissaires des Courses tenues ce matin, le jockey Robert Burke et l’entraîneur Patrick Merven ont été sanctionnés. Le premier nommé a été suspendu pour 2 semaines et a écopé d’une amende de Rs 25000, alors que le second devra s’acquitter d’une amende de Rs 75000.

Le jockey de l’Ecurie Foo Kune n’a pas monté le coursier The Last Samurai (7e course de samedi dernier) à la satisfaction des Commissaires des Courses, tandis que Patrick Merven a été trouvé coupable sous le règlement 208 A (4) “Notwithstanding subsection (3) (ii) when a sample taken at any time from a horse under the responsibility of a licensed trainer is found to contain any illicit substance, the person responsible for the care, treatment and training of the horse shall be liable to any of the penalties provided for in rule 11 (d) unless he proves to the satisfaction of the Racing Stewards that he had taken all reasonable steps to prevent the administration of such illicit substance to the horse” lors de l’enquête concercant C Major.
