Radamel Falcao Admits Mistake in Joining Manchester United Over Other Clubs, Including Liverpool

Radamel Falcao has reportedly accepted that his decision to join Manchester United on transfer deadline day in the summer was a mistake and he would have been better off taking a different option. The Daily Mail cites sources close to the 29-year-old to claim that he now accepts he chose the wrong club, with several others also interested in taking him from on loan from Monaco at the time.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool were one of those clubs, with the hierarchy at Anfield allegedly having been prepared to stump up the £6m loan fee and pay the eye-watering sum of £265,000 in weekly wages.

Might things have been different had he pulling on the red shirt of Liverpool instead? Falcao has scored just four times for United this season and was relegated to the reserve team earlier this week – another game in which he failed to impress. It is said to be that moment when it dawned on him that his future in the Premier League was over.
