Every secondary institution is invited to designate one team of three students to participate in the competition. The prize for the winning team is a visit to the A350-900 aircraft assembly line in Toulouse (France), while the runner-up will win a visit to Rodrigues. Four submissions will be shortlisted for the Finale that will be held on Tuesday 11 July.

Air Mauritius was incorporated on 14 June 1967, just a few months before Mauritius became independent. Since then, it has grown into an essential bridge between the island State of Mauritius and the World. It has also been at the heart of the Mauritian economy contributing to the development of its key economic sectors particularly the Export Processing Zone and the tourist industry.

‘’With the ‘Air Mauritius Award’, we wish to offer young Mauritians the opportunity to acquire insights on the importance of airline connectivity in the development of Mauritius as well as the importance of a national airline for providing such connectivity for island states like Mauritius. We also want to give them an opportunity to develop their business acumen,’’ Air Mauritius Officer-in-Charge, Indradev (Raja) Buton, stated.
