NOURBESE – TAKEN TO SEAL HAT-TRICK?

Ricky Maingard stands on the brink of being crowned Champion Trainer and this Saturday can see him take another giant step towards the title. His yard have numerous outstanding chances, which includes NOURBESE in the main event – The Mauritius Turf Club Cup.

NOURBESE (Pierre-Corne Orffer) has made a fabulous start to life at the Champ de Mars. He is currently two for two, and it is correct to state that there remains plenty more to come from this very promising sort. Such is his current form, he has every chance of sealing his hat-trick.

TRIPPI’S EXPRESS (Kersley Ramsamy) has done everything but strike this season, finishing runner-up a whopping four times! In truth, he has performed very consistently since his debut, and in this contest, he looks the likeliest to take advantage of any slip up from the overwhelming favourite.

The Simon Jones yard have been firing in recent weeks and representing them in this main event is PADRE PIO (Benedict Woodworth). He may have arrived with a highly-rated reputation, but apart from a Group 3 win and two runner-up finishes, he has flattered to deceive. He was last seen in action in the Maiden Cup, landing 6th, 3.8 lengths behind Alshibaa. Back from a long break, he will appreciate running in this category and at the very least, he should produce a competitive showing.

WALL TAG (Alvinio Roy) was rated as a big runner in the feature race of the 27th meeting. However, he ran below expectations and was found to be not striding out after the race. He is capable of far better and is capable of making his presence felt.

MARSHALL FOCH (Dinesh Sooful) has been a major disappointment throughout his debut season, finishing dead last in all but one of his races. Back from a long break, he has looked well at track work and in this category, he can run on improvement.

STREAM AHEAD (Abishek Sonaram) produced a bold showing in his third outing this season, before being narrowly denied confirmation in his follow-up. His last two runs were disappointing, failing to make his presence felt. This grey horse should feel at ease over the Draper’s Mile and is capable of finishing in the lower placings.

EHSAAN (Sunil Bussunt) and WE LIGHT THE FIRE (Pravesh Horil) complete the line-up and based on their recent forms respectively, they have it all to do here.
