L’épreuve de Benchmark 56 sur 1500m ayant été divisée en 2 courses distinctes, le programme de la 16e journée, ce samedi 20 aout, comprendra 8 courses.

19 horses work fast, most of them over 200m

Training takes place under excellent climatic conditions, and 19 horses work fast on the sand track. Most of them spurt over 200 metres.

Of the horses nominated in the feature race – The Winter Stakes – those that catch the eye include The Gatekeeper, Padre Pio, Royal Wulff and Favour.

Charlie Squadron, newcomer for the Patrick Merven yard, is finally ready for his debut. He shows a pleasant action in his workout with Anthony Andrews on board.

Other horses that show up strongly this morning include Numberninetynine, Jack Tarr, Gimmetherain, Sea Dance, Grand Vision and Xanthus.
