John Aldridge: Liverpool FC already have perfect replacement for Raheem Sterling in Jordon Ibe

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge believes Jordon Ibe is a “ready-made” replacement for Raheem Sterling.

The Reds have already rejected two bids from Manchester City for Sterling, who wants to leave Anfield after snubbing a £100,000 per week contract offer.

Aldridge says if Sterling does go then Ibe can help to fill the void.

“Liverpool have a ready-made replacement for Raheem Sterling in Jordon Ibe,” Aldridge said.

“He’s a terrific player and has got so much potential.

“He’s got as much, if not more potential, than Raheem had at that age. He’s a big strong lad, very direct and a better finisher than Raheem.

“It’s a bonus for Liverpool that they already have one on the shelf.”
