Mouvement Authentique Mauricien… Vision for 2019.
MAM wants political leaders in Government to be understanding, just and fair in everything they do. They should strive always to make sure that all their decisions are based on fairness and equity for the best interests of the whole Mauritian community,
without any consideration of ethnicity, caste, religion or colour.
MAM also wants some sort of a Renaissance of Human Values within the Mauritian community as a whole. Top priority should be given to the reinforcement of Family Values. Parents should not shun their main rôle as educators for their children. Apart from acting as rôle model, they can be their children’s best teachers. As the Wise King Solomon has put it:
« Discipline your son in his early years while there is hope. If you don’t you will ruin his life. »
When love, respect, justice, honour, integrity, harmony and the spirit of sharing prevail in the family circle, one can expect to see less violence at school and within the whole community. And, to produce good citizens, all children, irrespective of their living and social environment, should be allowed to have access to a good education. That will help to combat violence, drug addiction, prostitution, theft, gambling, corruption and other social evils that are ravaging our society.
MAM’s 15 Priorities for 2019.
