Aucune collecte publique sans l’authorisation du Commissaire de Police




The public is hereby informed that by virtue of section 3(2)(a) of The Public Collections Act, no person shall make or cause to be made any public collection unless that person complies with section 3 of that Act. 

2. Further, every promoter intending to make a public collection shall make an application in writing for a permit to the Commissioner of Police not less than 15 days before the date on which the collection is intended to start or to be made. 

3. It is hereby brought to the attention of the public that any person who contravenes the Public Collections Act shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding Rs 5,000/- and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.
