Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology (Fake message on WhatsApp)…

The Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology has taken note of a fake message on WhatsApp to the effect that online teaching and learning has been discontinued and will not be conducted tomorrow and the following days.

The Ministry wishes to inform all stakeholders as well as the general public that no such decision has been taken, and that the message on WhatsApp is fake. The matter has consequently been reported to the relevant authorities, namely, the Cybercrime Unit and the Police for enquiry and legal action subsequently.

The Ministry wishes to reassure all stakeholders that online teaching and learning will indeed continue to be conducted by Educators and that Heads of Secondary Schools will be closely monitoring the situation.
