Licenciement. Le Head of Private Banking Divisionde la Maubank Ltd, Manish Meeheelaul, a perdu son procès contre son employeur. La vice-présidente de la Cour Industrielle Sheila Bonomally a rejeté sa plainte, estimant que son licenciement était justifié. Manish Meeheelaul fut suspendu du 5 octobre 2015 au 10 avril 2018 because he failed to carry out a proper professional and careful credit appraisal on Rooplall Beerjeraz Group of companies thereby putting the interest of the Bank at risk.
Il fut appelé à s’expliquer devant un comité disciplinaire, présidé par M. G. Bhaji-Soni, puis devant un autre comité disciplinaire, présidé par M. Désiré Basset. Manish Meeheelaul a poursuivi la Maubank pour rupture de contrat suite à son refus de payer ses salaires. Il lui a réclamé des indemnités de Rs 8,171,388.81.
