Fairytale win for Walls of Dubrovnik in the 2022 Duke of York Cup!

The 2022 Duke Of York Cup (Group 1) witnessed a fairytale story in the image of #7 Walls Of Dubrovnik (Andre-Luiz da Silva), as he picked the perfect moment to score his tenth win on our turf. In doing so, he earned both jockey and the Shyam Hurchund yard their first Classic wins.

Breaking from his 9th draw, #7 Walls Of Dubrovnik got a cracker of a getaway to run very close to the pace, before producing a strong turn of foot when it mattered the most, getting the better of #6 The Gatekeeper (Rye Joorawon) in the closing stages.

#1 Frosted Gold (Bernard Fayd’herbe) and #2 Undercover Agent (Girish Goomany) were 3rd and 4th respectively.
