Matt Damon…a true love story

Luciana Barroso was a twenty-year-old Argentine waitress, a single mother who had been abandoned by the father of her only daughter. In the United States, she struggled daily to make ends meet.

One night, while working behind the counter, a young man approached her with an unusual request:

“Can I stay here with you for a moment? I need to hide.”

Confused, Luciana looked at him curiously, and he explained that he was an actor and that there were journalists and other people in the restaurant who had recognized him. He felt overwhelmed by the attention and just wanted a break.

Luciana, having no idea who he was, smiled at him and replied matter-of-factly:

“You can stay, but at least you have to be useful.”

The young man readily agreed to the condition. He rolled up his sleeves and began helping her prepare cocktails, serve customers, and even wash dishes. Between laughter and conversation, the night passed quickly.

At the end of her shift, as she was about to leave, she asked him his name.

“Matt Damon,” he replied with a smile

That unexpected night marked the beginning of a love story that continues to this day. They have been married for eighteen years and have four daughters; he also adopted Luciana’s eldest.
