Thierry Jarnet crowned champion!



French jockey Thierry Jarnet has won the Jockeys’ championship in the Attitude International Jockeys Day. Compatriot Olivier Placais comes home runner-up, while Derreck David finished in 3rd.

Having won twice on the Vincent Allet-trained duo of Joyful and Hot Rocket, as well as finishing runner-up on Billy Bojangles and Dunraven, Thierry Jarnet has scored 26 points.

Olivier Placais scored 16 points, 9 of them coming in the main event, courtesy of Donnie Brasco. He finished runner-up on Brave Leader, gaining 4 points. He scored 2 points on Wonder Kid and a single point on Data Controller.

Derreck David completed the podium with 12 points. He picked up four points twice on Nordic Warrior and Always Flirting, while he scored two points on both Viento Magico and Triad Of Fortune.
